The Engineering Department Consulting Firm is a full service product development company. We provide product development and engineering consulting services to entrepreneurs and companies of any size.

We specialize in the design and development of plastic, consumer, industrial, and scientific products. We have experience working with all forms of plastics ranging from Polypropylene, ABS, and Acetal, to High Purity PFA, PVDF, and CPVDF Teflons. We also have experience developing motor driven products, fluid handling products, heat and mass transfer products, electronic enclosures, machined products, stamped products, and sheet metal products.
Our Engineering Manager is a licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer with over 22 years of experience developing new products for entrepreneurs and several well known companies like, Parker Hannifin Corp., Samsonite, Rain Bird Corp., and SnapWare Corporation. David Melvin, PE is also the author of several 3D Computer Aided Design training courses used by hundreds of companies like Boeing, Johnson & Johnson, Eaton Corporation, Firestone, Cannon Equipment, and Brookhaven National Labs to name a few.
